Inspired by Nas @ a young age, little did Jovan Branch know that he would soon be the next rap star. "When I first heard "The World Is Yours" by Nas, I knew rap was something more than just rhyming words to beats." Born and raised in North Newark it wasn't until he moved to Union county years later and discovered his writing talent and formed SageTheInfinite. "I was about 16 when I started to seriously write rhymes and form ideas and flows". Inspired by the likes of Nas, Raekwon, AZ, Jay-z, Notorious B.I.G. etc..., Sage has embodied the east coast style heavily in his music. "I'm jus trying to bring the East Coast NY sound back" says the young rapper. Dropping 5 classic mixtapes underground, Sage is no rookie to rhymes. In particular his mixtape "Still On Tha Low 4 Dolo" captures Sage in his purest form moving from track to track with interviews from the rapper to really capture his personality."It's kinda like a soundtrack to my mind you know, Just letting people see through a little window inside my mind. With the Infinite Mind EP, Sage has fully crossed over into the commercial side of HipHop, but dont think he's all commercial just yet. "I'm always going to put my all into my lyrics, Im a lyricist first in its purest form, so I'm always going to take extensive time with my lyrics". Combining exciting beats and raw intellingent lyrics, The Infinite Mind EP is only the beginning of this rappers extensive talent. "I'm just trynna bring the rap back...."
