Founded in July 2002, the Hardheadz consists of four band members: Mike Allen, Jason Motoshige, Stephen Demby and Jeremy Demby. The band blends hip-hop, jazz, blues and rock in a live lyric, guitar, drums and keyboard format, exhibiting a range of electric sonic grooves. The vision of the Hardheadz is to deliver live original compositions to a hip-hop era that is based on samples, drum machines, and loops. With various geographical influences, the group resides in Maryland, spanning from Towson to College Park. Here is where they call home, and plan to expose home to the world. The Hardheadz CD project, Addicted, is their first full-length LP, dropping on one Maryland's top rated indepnedent labels, Outta Control Entertainment (Also home of r&b/soul band Yamama'nym). Besides winning 'Battle of the Bands' Contest at the University of Maryland and Towson State Unversity, the Hardheadz have had shows at Baltimore's Fletcher's, the Sugar Bar in Lower Manhattan, the Aqua Club in Washinton DC and many other places in between. They have also opened for other major acts such as, N.E.R.D., Black Eyed Peas, and Gangstar to name a few.
