In the early 90’s the rap game got a new inductee from Sacramento, California who not only listened, but studied what the culture of Hip Hop was all about. Crucial Point would be inspired by artist such as Big Daddy Kane, Ice Cube, LL Cool J, EPMD, and various other Hip Hop artist throughout the U.S. Crucial Point was introduced to Mcing by his childhood friend First Degree the DE whose albums he would later appear on. It was later, while attending college at The University of Georgia (UGA), that Crucial Point linked up with New York rapper, Fort Knox and a DJ by the name of Danger Mouse (Yes, the Grammy nominated Gorillaz album producer Danger Mouse). Crucial Point, Fort Knox, and Danger Mouse performed many shows in Athens, Georgia, including venues such as the world famous 40 Watt Club, where groups like the B-52’s and REM got their start. In addition Crucial Point has opened for great acts like Outkast, Goodie Mob, and Erykah Badu. Now a well-seasoned MC, Crucial Point has linked up with producers Ptah and Ray Vision to deliver a landmark album for Hip-Hop. The album took over 2 years to create and showcases what Hip-Hop is all about featuring the artistry of East Coast battle rapper Fort Knox, the R&B Urban Songstress June, and the Conscious Lyricism of the Hispanic Rapper Redencion.
