Controversy and contrast was born April 2002. 360° Poetic Emcees is one of the most unique Hip Hop groups. Many people didn't take LeauKie Da Bogus Individual seriously when he told them that he was making music with Chantylla the Lyrical Messiah. This group doesn't have a male dominated entourage with a token female rapper. How many male emcees have the confidence to have a female emcee as an equal counterpart? How many groups can you name that offer this balance? 360° Poetic Emcees wanted a name that exemplified who they are. 360 degrees is a circle. Combining both male and female principles the cipher is complete. Chantylla and Leaukie believe poets to be emcees of deep thought and emcees are rhythmic poets. This group embodies all aspects of poetry and emceeing. Their first performance was at DePaul University located in Chicago, IL. 360 PE performed on October 16, 2002 during Hip Hop week. They were very pleased with the crowd's participation, love and energy. 360PE received the same love from the crowd at Club Reunion January 24, 2004. With many people asking for demos and CD's, 360 PE knew that the next step would be to bring out an album. The EP entitled 360 PE the EP will be released June 2004. The entire album is written, produced and arranged by 360 PE. LeauKie is also known by his alias Da Bogus IND and The Lyrical Assassin. He is an emcee, songwriter, poet, and producer. His soothing baritone voice immediately demands attention. His lyrics are extremely conscious but always carry flavor. While you listen you will be enlightened as well as entertained. LeauKie's production is a fusion of various genres of music. This extremely versatile artist offers the music world a different view of Hip Hop. Hip Hop has been reborn through the womb of one of the illest female emcees to touch the mic since the turn of the century. Chantylla The Lyrical Messiah has arrived to bring life back into a once dying art form. Also known as K.O.S.M.I.C. 360 and M.O.S.A.I.C. 9, Chantylla brings fierce energy with the intent to eliminate all imitators. With her funky delivery and divine wordplay she entraps the senses and sooths the spirit with self-authored rhymes, poetry and songs. Every righteous lyric sparks fire in the mind of true Hip Hoppers.
