First forming in 1999 when 3D and Hafrican first met the way most emcees do, through the hip hop circle, the two quickly started taking Winnipeg by storm. To date the duo has performed in nearly every venue in the city, performed at nearly every kind of show, recorded a music video and landed a recording contract with Sunshine's Urbnrg Records. As we speak MuchMusic, MuchVibe and MTV Canada are playing the music video, radio is playing the album and crowds are getting larger by the show.

Their music has lended itself to one of the biggest boxing comebacks in Canadian history, Donny Lalonde, A-Channel productions, radio advertisements, dramatic productions and motion pictures. The media coverage has been rich, being covered by CBC, CTV, Global, A - Channel, all members of the major printing media in Winnipeg and all Winnipeg radio stations pertaining to their style of music. The internet has been a huge catalyst for the group seeing orders for their music from a worldwide audience including Australia and Europe. MuchMusic also did a special presentation on Winnipeg's urban scene which featured 12seven.

Let it be known however that this hip hop duo is by no means underground. "12seven are get your butts out of your seats, up on your feet, never slurrin', electricity burnin' hip hop and R&B artists," says a label rep. "Not only will they make you think, they'll take over
the club whether they're live on stage or the DJ is dropping their track." Just as with most hip hop music the lack of a live band on stage makes for a challenge in keeping the audience interested in what is happening. But if you're planning on going to a 12seven performance be prepared to dance, laugh and scream really loud
because everyone else in attendance will be and the energy that goes through a venue when 12seven takes to the stage is infectious.
