- V-BOY

ARTIST BIO

V-boy was born and raised in Redwood City Ca, he was number seven of his mom's eight children so money was tight. V-boy found his love for hip- hop at an early age b-boy'n and pop'n to classics by Afrika Bambatta, Herbie Hancock, and Run D.M.C. He latter became interested in the world of "Gangsta Rap " influenced by the likes of Ice-T, Eazy-E, and the Ghetto Boys. After his mothers passing in the spring of '92 V-Boy found himself with nowhere to go, he became a vagabond going from group home to shelter to foster home to eventually jail. It was here where he and long time friend Creed a.d formed the group "Unafeyed Souljahz ", the name came over the phone collect form the Contra Costa County jail in Martinez Ca. Along with the help his close friend, "Mac", they began to put out cds and the rest is history...

HISTORY OF THE LABEL

Alleyway Entertainment was founded in the summer of 1999 by V-boy. With the help of the original Unafeyed Souljahz, they set out to take the thriving Redwood City hip-hop game over. With there first release "Way'd Out", the saga began but due to lack of promotion the album only received a meager following at best. Their second attempt was a solo effort by V-Boy, which took off with out a hitch selling close to 2,000 units nationwide in just four months with little to no radio play or serious promotion, just word of mouth and street hustle. Now the label has reformed by shortening its roster and focusing its attention on it's main artist, V-Boy and will be releasing the new album entitled "Studio Fix" this September. Schools in session once again, prepare to be fixed.
