Fresh off the success of a nation wide Something to Prove tour with Afu Ra, Inspecta Deck and Planet Asia, Northern Calis newest break out MC, Turbin, is set to release his highly anticipated debut LP, Born with Nothing Die with Nothing, on 65 Max Entertainment/Pockets Linted Entertainment. On Born with Nothing...Turbin, who got his name from fellow Skool Yard member, Planet Asia, teams up with an arsenal of Bay Area acts, including Encore, Rasco, Planet Asia and Homeliss Derilex. The albums production is handled entirely by The Architect (who has worked with Planet Asia, Cali Agents, Homeliss Derilex), an up-and- coming producer who Turbin hooked up with in the late 90s while living in Oakland. But the Fresno-born MC has been in the game for a minute, building a foundation of fans locally. Having crossed paths with fellow Fresno rapper Planet Asia for years, they became good friends in the 90s after they both relocated from central Cali to Oakland. It was only a matter of time until they decided to work together and Turbin became part of the group The Skool Yard with Asia, Supreme, Kubiq, and Shake. Turbins skills were quickly noticed, and later that year he joined Del the Funky Homosapien, Blackalicious and Encore for a nationwide tour. He also released the single "Wide Open" (Certified Records) and was featured on ABB Records Presents Vol. 1. In 2001, Turbin released the critically acclaimed EP, Executive Lounge (75 Ark) with Encore, Grand of Homeliss Derilex, and Holakaust. Finally, Turbin is featured on numerous upcoming releases, including Planet Asias upcoming LP, The Medicine, Homeliss Derilex 12" (feat Cali Agents) and the new Pumpkin Head Mixtape. Born with Nothing Die with Nothing drops December 13, 2005. For publicity information, please call Nicole Ballin at Ballin PR at (323) 651-1580 or email at nikyb@adelphia.net.
