KONSPIRACY BIOGRAPHY Konspiracy is a three member Hip Hop/Acid Rap group from southern California. The group was formed by Kris "Xplicit" Hillebrand and Joshua "Hipicritical" Dimas. The two created Konspiracy in the year 2000 after freestyling together frequently. Originally the two just did quick verses while walking through their neighborhoods of Capo Beach and San Juan Capistrano in Southern California. They finally decided to lay down a recorded version of their work in Kris' trailer in Capo Beach. They recorded a three song demo called, "Abstract". At the time the group had no name. Soon after recording the cd they took on individual names. Kris was known as, "Theory" and Josh was called, "Dj Dirty Dimas". Soon the name Konspiracy came up and fit right in place with the groups subject matter which usually pertained to currupt polotics or anti-authority lyrics. Soon Kris would change his name to, "Xplicit" which he recieved from his homies do to his vulgur style of rap and lyrics. In 2001 Xplicit and DJ Dirty Dimas went back into the studio to record another demo for release. At the time the recording qualtiy was horrible, as were the designs on the cd if any. However many people looked past the amature look and actually listened to the message behind it all. Many homies and even complete strangers where really starting to relate to the sound and subject matter behind the group and found good music with the potential to be great. With the confidence set by a small local fan base, Xplicit and Dj Dirty Dimas eventually came out with a 9 track EP called,"The Original Fictional". It was a local success among friends and local kids on their block and school. Soon after the release of the EP Konspiracy was getting fairly well known around their blocks in Capo Beach and SJC. It didn't take long for them to aquire bad reputations with local gangs and Hip Hop groups such as the Horror Core group "Ninjas In Action" which turned out to be their main rival and other gangs such as "SCVC" and "Bad Company" which they would have frequent conflicts and run-ins with. Soon they found themselves fighting for respect in their citys and forming their own gang full of kids from the same block and area. The group they formed together called themselves, "OC Souljas" which Konspiracy would rap about and make references to quite frequently in later songs. The crew was small, and not really meant to be a gang, but a form of protection and a gethering of homies. However, do to the extreme competition of turf wars and all the law trouble they where running into, it quickly became another local gang. While prepairing for their second EP release called "Criminal Instinct",Xplicit and Dj Dirty Dimas where both arrested for breaking and entering, vandalization, petty theft and posession of narcotics. It would be almost six months before the two would be able to get back together to make music. When the chance finally arrived to release the long awaited album they jumped on the opportunity. It took only two weeks of recording to release Criminal Instinct which was a much greater success in southern california then their previouse release. It was around this time that Dj Dirty Dimas began participating more in rapping instead of scratching on turn tables. He then changed his name to Hipicritical. Soon the group was being asked for concert dates and started playing local shows at bars, restaurants and numberouse house partys. It was around this time that Xplicit was introduced to another local rapper who went by the name of, "Cut Throat". The two constantly freestyled together which ended up making Cut Throat the third member of Konspiracy. However after a show one night Xplicit and Cut Throat got into a disagreement afterwards and would part ways. Soon after this the group started collaberating with another rapper named, Keefe. He would introduce Konspiracy to a local rave Dj who's name was "Dj Manik". They released one EP together titled "Dangerouse Lifestylez" which was one of the most successful Konspiracy albums. Afterwards however, they would not make music together again. After releasing the Dangerouse Lifestylez EP the group was busy doing promotions and concerts aswell as gettin much more recognition in the underground Hip Hop scene. Konspiracy had started building a professional home recording studio. Also Xplicit had learned how to produce beats, record, and master tracks, this would be the turning point in their career. From then on the only people working on their albums would be Xplicit and Hipicritical instead of having somebody else put their skills and ideas on their work. Not before long Xplicit new how to do everything to make albums for Konspiracy by himself. Soon they started their own label that they named "Abstract Recordz" faithfully named after the demo that got thim into this whole Hip Hop life that they dedicated themselves to. Finally people could listen to a Konspiracy demo and enjoy the music with good production and recording quality unlike before. It cought the ear and of many more people and was much more appealing to the average listeniner who would be strolling down the street during promotions. It had become easier to be heard by everybody wheather they liked it or not. They could now also put across their sound that had been bumpin in their heads instead of modifying their lyrics to somebody elses beat. Pretty soon they began working with other groups and solo artist from not only their area, but from northern California such as "Grimm" and the horror core group "The Morgue". In 2003 Xplicit and Hipicritical started working with another local emcee named "Dyslexic" who was a long time friend of the group and had not yet met the standard of rapping good enough to join the group. Although Hipicritical was against the idea of adding a new member to the group, Xplicit descided to teach him personally and spend all his time fine tuning the new rappers skills. They began working on their first full length professional release, "The American Nightmare". This album would also have tracks featuring "Grimm" on the song "West Coast Rydin". Also Xplicit's older brother "Psypher" would make his debut on the song "Killin Cops and Casualties" with an ear peircing chorus and rage based backround vocals. Near the end of this album Konspiracy started teaming up with a rapper named "M.C.K" who they had been friends with for some time. The three rappers started writing music together almost everyday and seemed to be on the same page as one another. M.C.K shocked Xplicit and Hipicritical with his skill and dedication and knowledge of Hip Hop. Finally they descided to add him to a song called, "Instahaters" about rival gangs who seemed to hate the group for no reason. Near the end stages of the album Dyslexic had started irritating the other two members of Konspiracy. They got into frequent arguements and fights until finally they told Dyslexic to stay away from the studio and the group, and wished to never see or work with him again. Soon they had MCK join the group as the third and final rapper. This time both Xplicit and Hipicritical seemed to be excited to add M.C.K in the group and looked forward to working with him as a permanent member. In 2005 they released their first full length album, "The American Nightmare" after enduring conflicts, obsticles and unloyal members. The album was written by Konspiracy and produced, recorded, mastered, designed and manufactured by Xplicit. Guest producers such as Dj Manik and Dyslexic did a few tracks on the album also. When the album was released however, Dylexic was given credit for the songs he had written and the one track he had produced but, was not listed as a member of the group. Currently Konspiracy is working on their second full length album "Uncivil Disobedience". Also Xplicit is near completion with his full length solo album titled, "Uncensored" while producing M.C.K's debut EP called "Fuck The System". Recently Xplicit's older brother had officially joined the Abstract Recordz label and is also in the process of making his debut album produced by his younger brother Xplicit.
