Anubis da Killa Meteorz Biography Anubis da Killa Meteorz (a.k.a. Da Killa M-E) would be best described as the all in one Hip-Hop artist, capable of writing, performing, producing, and recording his own material. Killa M-E's number one priority is to be the most commercially successful Hip-Hop artist in music history. Killa M-E's strategy for obtaining this goal is to take a spotlight-demanding grip on the entertainment industry through effective marketing & promotion, and most importantly by flooding the airwaves with sizzling hot listener friendly music. Influenced by the likes of Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix, Public Enemy, KRSONE, Rakim, and N.W.A., Killa M-E began to fill up his notebooks with piles of diverse lyrics. Then after disappointing work relationships with mediocre producers, Killa M-E begun producing his own material that complemented his verbal skills. In his desire for longevity and career planning, Killa M-E enrolled at The Art Institute of Philadelphia where he received an Associate's Degree for Audio & Video Business/Production. After years of perfecting his craft, and studying the formula for making hits, he took on the name - KILLA METEORZ from a humbling kung fu expert with a secret weapon only used in the direst of emergencies. The name Anubis is derived from the ancient Egyptian God of Death/Mummification, responsible for guiding the dead through the afterlife. The reason for two names is because they both represent the two sides or the yin and the yang co-existent within the artist. Anubis - the benevolent attribute, and the Killa Meteorz - the malevolent attribute, both dependent upon one another and always at wars resulting in a talent of universal appeal. Killa Meteorz has done production for several local Philly artist. Along with his clique the PLAGUE REGIME, the maxi-single '2-1-5' was independently released receiving light rotation on local urban format radio stations. Under his own Philly based independent label SLAVESHIP BLUEZ ENTERTAINMENT, Killa Meteorz released a solo LP entitled 'EXTORTION 44POINT1' which blazed the underground circuit. His sophomore solo LP entitled 'GHETTO -PLATINUM' is now available online at www.cdbaby.com.
