JK comes from the Eastside of Oklahoma City. He is considered to be one of Oklahoma's premiere rappers, setting a precedence for all aspiring songwriters. He developed a love for the music through his hardships of life's struggles. Raised in a single parent home, he was exposed to street life and hard times. These hardships are what influences JK's albums "Eastside 4 Life" & "Gotta Be Live Volume 1" to be big noise in Oklahoma City. In 1999 he got together with Nut-P, one of Oklahoma's most talented producers and put together what would be his milestone debut album "Eastside 4 Life"! He has sold nearly 10,000 copies of the album by word of mouth and street promotion. Now he comes together again with Nut-P & others on the sophomore release of "Gotta Be Live"! This is the album we believe will impact the rap industry, and break everyone from hip-hop's monotony and topic-less music. Radio stations tend to drill the listener with this and force us to like it, not anymore. It's Gotta Be Live from this point on!
