GHETTO SOUND PRODUCTIONS was founded by Clent Gilbert (president) a Gary, Indiana resident. He started G.S.P in the summer of 1998 because he was getting tired of studios charging anywhere from $75.00-$100.00 an hour to record. Alonzo Phillips (vice president) helped get G.S.P. started because he believed in what G.S.P. stood for.Together they saved their money and bought studio equipment.Artists would approach them and if they were good,studio time was given at no charge. GHETTO SOUND PRODUCTIONS has thirteen artists: Ceesaw, Santos, I.C., 380-“Gâ€, M-80, P.J., just to name a few. All of the songs are originals written by M-80, or the other artists. Clent wants to get G.S.P. recognized to show people that there are artists that can come out of the Midwest. There are people out there who have talent that come out of the Gary, Indiana area, yet it is hard for them to get recognized.
