AK-9ine was born in Palo Alto CA. 9ine's parents worked at Stanford Hospital where they met. 9ine's father moved to the Bay Area from Florida, his mother is from St. Louis. AK-9ine attended school in the East Palo Alto area(Castonyo and Ravenswood) up until the age of 9. After 9ine's parents split up, his mother moved the family to St. Louis. 9ine moved back to the Bay Area at the age of 14 to finish high school. 9ine spent his senior year living out of his van. He graduated from Gunderson H.S as an All City Defensive End, and earned a scholarship to San Jose State University. 9ine is the first person of his immediate family to graduate from high school. Growing up in the ghettoes of; Cochoran Projects, North Side St. Louis MO, Decatur GA and the slums of E.
