The Story Behind Stu Dent

Behind Stu Dent is a fictional character inspired by the book of Genesis.

You know when you meet someone for the first time and you get the strange feeling that you've met that person before?

There's something about them that's very familiar, but you can't quite put your finger on it.

Are you ready to have that feeling again?

Born the son of Beth and fathered by Sephanin, a fallen Son of God from Genensis 6, Stu Dent is what you would call "Nephilim" - a half man / half angelic being.

As the story goes, Noah was called to build an Ark to save mankind and animals from history's greatest flood. And although Noah and his family were the only humans intended to represent mankind in that unique vessle, what if a small child - albeit, not quite mortal - also made it on to the Ark?

Shem was one of Noah's sons who loved the Lord and obeyed his father, Noah. But in one exceptional act of compassion, Shem decided to help a strange, orphaned boy onto the Ark before its doors were shut and its mass was lifted up by the flooding rains.

Anyhow, it's just a story... now let's put it into Hip-Hop.

It's beats and lyrics that make a song, but emotion and cadence capture a listener's ears, carrying that music to their hearts. Stu Dent brings a new slant to the Christian Hip-Hop culture, with a symphony of the unexpected. Let Stu Dent show you the other side of Hip-Hop where the matrix seems more like a game of connect four. Let's bring you back to the village of Hebron.

The Album 'Nephilim' is full of challenging lyrics that urge the listener to move boldly toward what God has in store for them. The lead single, That's It, says it all... "We need to stop griping, pick up broken pieces, release anger and not fight, focus on Jesus". He brings words of hope, and words that force us to confront ourselves head on and consider the seriousness of Christ's call. That's it.
