Some time not so long ago, when rap was all about how much money and ice you had, Spotlite Entertainment decided to take a different approach. upon entering the game, A-1 (raw dope), a 16 track compilation Ep produced by C-ris Beatz and featuring an artist roster such as C-Green, Don Juan, Flang Loc, Hunter, K-Pound, M.I., Trigg and Qua D, was presented to the city of Pittsburgh using a blindfolded guerilla marketing strategy. By using Underground Hip Hop Video Magazines that were broadcasted for months on Pittsburgh's public access Channel 21 and the street teams selling out at every venue in the Pittsburgh/Ohio area, Spotlite Entertainment struck ghetto gold selling 5000 units. Creating a serious street buzz in the Pittsburgh rap game was accomplished and Spotlite Entertainment was now a clear and present danger to the local rap game.
