The next chapter in underground rap music is now upon us! Enter Slimm Goines, an amazing lyrical architect from Washington DC, home to hip-hop acts such as DJ Kool, The Questionmark Asylum, Nonchalant and Section 8 Mob.

Influenced by his two favorite authors Iceberg Slim and Donald Goines, Slimm Goines combines clasic street story-telling with metaphoric punchlines and more...old-school braggadocious rhymes that hip-hop fans worldwide could relate.

He has been compared to legendary lyricists including his idol Rakim, Ice Cube, KoolKeith (aka Dr.Octogon/Doom), Mos Def and the late Big L (RIP).

Ruff Rhyme Records proudly releases Slimm Goines' long awaited debut solo EP, The Notes From The Scribe.

It was produced by Slimm's long time producer and Ruff Rhyme Records label owner Big Poppa Nard and co-produced by local DC producer Alan Palmer of NX Phase Studios.

The EP has guest appearances from Storm The Unpredictable, Ding-Ding of The Questionmark Asylum and up and coming artist, Black Sun.
