True Hip-Hop fans know that most of the best-unsigned artists don't live in big urban cities like New York, Detroit or Los Angeles. Many of the undiscovered talent live in small forgotten towns. One such underground rap group is M.O.(MAGNUM OPUS)from McColl, South Carolina. M.O. is an arsenal of smokin' solo artists that include Punishment a.k.a. "Davidson Blain, Killa Vo a.k.a., "B.A. Barakaz", E-Live a.k.a. "Manslaughter", and B.U.S. a.k.a. "Big Toona". The members met while as students at Marlboro County High School. They formed M.O. because they were frustrated with the type of music being released and they wanted to restore the respectability of "old school" Hip-Hop. The millions of deprived die-hard Hip-Hop fans who are tired of hearing Disney friendly, uneducated garbage on the airwaves will not be disappointed by M.O.'s blazin' sound. M.O. promises to deliver a mixture of hardcore, club bangaz, and crunk style music. Their sound is unique and is not like typical "dirty south" music. M.O.'S popularity is growing. Their fan base began when they started performing in local talent shows and other venues. A highlight was when the group performed at Foxy 99's anniversary party. Ray J, Tracey Lee, and other special guest were in attendance. Despite M.O.'s notoriety, the group has encountered bogus record deals. Overcoming adversity, M.O. continues to make noise by being featured on mixed tapes. M.O. is not giving up on getting signed by a record label. Although Petey Pablo and DJ B Lord opened the door for unknown talent in the Carolinas, M.O. is the new sound, the best sound, and the future sound for the Hip-Hop culture. www.ghunsmok.com 1.
