Dark can be defined as being without light or without knowledge. With the soon to be released album Eternal DarQness, DarQ has a whole new meaning. The explosion of his album means DarQ will be lavished in quite a light. His lyrics prove, to even the hardest of critics, that he is gifted and definitely not "without knowledge". How did such a brilliant artist choose a contradictory pseudonym? Raised on New York City's Bronx streets, DarQ started his hip hop dream on the corners he continues to rap about today. DarQ's motives to rap weren't exactly for fame of fortune at the age of thirteen. In fact, DarQ wanted to earn respect and a name for himself in neighborhoods and within an art form that wasn't exactly open to him. Unfortunately, poverty, drugs, and trouble were no stranger to DarQ, and so his lyrical abilities quickly were acknowledged. Trouble eventually led DarQ to quieter streets on the outskirts of Philadelphia. It took a few years for DarQ to give up drugs and trouble and fulfill his dream that he put aside in New York. DarQ experienced his dramatic change at nineteen before the birth of his son. Tired of struggling in construction and desperate to give his son better opportunities, DarQ looked inside himself to the talent that earned him respect years before. DarQ joins forces with DDT Productions to capitalize on the respect they're earned and create New Blood Records. With songs like "What I Really Want" and Strap Heat", it becomes evident to every listener the impact DarQ will have on the hip hop industry. The streets of New York come alive in their emotion, the emotion that all it's youth knows; the struggle, the desperation, the agony, the hunger. Eternal DarQness is the album that will open every critic's mind and heart to the courage and honesty needed to be true hip hop. DarQ is definitely ready to claim a piece of music history as his own.
