Grahm Dion is the main songwriter for minus bluff as well as the lead singer/guitarist. Michelle Dion sings many lead and backup vocal parts for the band. Grahm and Michelle started the band up in Lock Haven, PA, with Grahm's sister Meredith Stoner and Randy Miller. Live Bait was recorded using a digital 16 track recorder. Grahm did all the production work on it. It took a good two months to complete. He uses backwards tracks, horn parts, vibraphone, as well as looping. The finished product is an amazingly tight album, merging different genres. The sound is not as hard as the band's current work. It shows a more beautiful, mellow side of Minus Bluff, showcasing Michelle's angelic voice. The band has just finished their latest album, Red Hot Deal. This album was recorded at Longview Studios in Philly. It shows a much heavier sound with the addition of the band's new rhythm section, Doug Parker on bass and Joel Roberts on the drums.
