Mera a Philly native has been performing, writing, and producing songs for the past seven years. He was born in North Philadelphia, but raised in West Philadelphia. Mera has put together two albums in a four year span. The first album Reincarnated Street Soul was released in 2004. It featured the legendary Dj lady b from Philadelphia and songstress Kelly Johnson. The album sold over 5,000 units from street sales and word of mouth. On March 24, 2006, Mera released his follow up album, Mera, All in Me, which incorporates Jazz, Soul, and Hip Hop beats. The title is self explanatory and upon hearing it you will see it is truly all in me. Mera has opened up for acts such as: Kem, Black Sheep, The Roots, Common, and Erkah Badu.
