"Sygn Language"; the debut from the 7th Sygn is a return to bangin' beats and hard rhymes. Straight from the underground of Columbus Ohio, comes this deadly mix of legendary lyricism and transcendent tracks (you'll find no wack keyboard beats here!) Lyrical influences include Pharoahe Monch, Ras Kass, Kool G Rap, and Rakim amongst others. The beatmaker known only as "Phil" provides a sonic soundscape similar to the likes of Rza, Madlib, or Premiere but in a style all his own. The first line of the album says it best: this is NOT HORROR CORE. It's hardcore underground Hip-Hop. Guests include Flip the early riser (Cowboy Bebop) Ayce the prohfit & D-lac (R.Dawgs) and Severe (shhh...& Walking Dead) each lending their own distinct brand of verbal abuse, but don't just expect song after song of "I'm doper then you" flows-there are also some thought provoking concept rhymes as well, w/a variety of topics ranging from the sociopolitical (non-religious) "Jihad" to the alcohol infused "Get Nice" (pineapple rum). Sure to be an underground Hip-Hop classic. Check out the artist's website: http://www.myspace.com/7thsygnshinobishaw Track List: 1. American Goth 2. Submerge 3. Unsygned Hype 4.
