Independent Music

The Victory Singers are a Southern/Country Gospel Group that plays and sings for local churches in Central/North Georgia. We play for family oriented music venues and other events with a Christian atmosphere. Our instrumentation is live except for an electronic drum.

In addition, we have an acoustic guitar, piano, and electric bass. We have 4 singers who can sing lead or harmony. Our music has a unique sound and maybe has a touch of the "Chuck Wagon Gang." John Wise has been compared to Hank Williams Sr. by many with his writing and singing style. He has performed for many of Hank's fans including the famous drifting cowboys. He has also performed for Hank's Daughter, Jett Williams in a jam session in Greenville Alabama in June 2002. He was invited back for next year.

Ruth Gravitt (white headed lady) sings lead and is an ordained minister. She is our spiritual leader and has the respect of all of us. She is a GOD loving lady and sets the example for us all. The white headed man is Forace Gravitt. He and Ruth are married. She has a hard time keeping him in line and has to scold him on occasions. He's a great guy and pianist.

John Wise (the best looking one)is the black headed guy. He, Gail, and Debbie are cousins.

Gail Parker sings lead with great emotion. She is the small girl and the "BIG MOUTH" of the Group. She sings the emotional "COME MORNING" and "THE OLD GOSPEL SHIP" with feeling. She is Debbie's Aunt.

Debbie Watkins is lead/harmony singer and has a beautiful voice. she sings with emotion. She was married to Terry Watkins who played bass for the group. Terry passed away May 15th, 2002 this year. This album is dedicated to him. Danny Ross, John's half Brother played bass on the album.

We welcome Brother James McElreath (Big Mac) to our group. He is a good singer and bass player. The Lord sent him to replace Terry and is doing a fine job. We appreciate him.
