Once again The Spiritual Voices has graced the quartet music arena with their debut solo smash project on Worldwide Music, Inc entitled Keith “Wonderboy” Johnson presents Spiritual Voices & Friends, “Unity”. Their embracing unity is reflected in the dynamic sound of what Johnson calls a focused ministry and family project. This is the group’s first solo venture since Johnson embarked upon a solo career in 2003.

The Spiritual Voices echo the spirit of old favorites founded by Phil Johnson, Johnson’s, father who is the only surviving member of the original group. The group adds a new flavor that has, without debate, transformed the quartet music genre forever. Johnson himself sang with the original members at the age of 5. Now the Spiritual Voices consist of Johnson, Hezekiah Bethea, and Ray “Junior” Braswell, Jr.

From the release of their first project with Worldwide Music, Inc. in 1998 entitled, “Through the Storm”, featuring the hit single, “Hide Behind The Mountain”, Keith “Wonderboy” Johnson and the Spiritual Voices has bridged the gap in the family of listeners, gaining notoriety among the young and the old. In 1999, with the release of their sophomore project, “Live and Alive”, came the gospel anthem, “I Just Wanna Be Right.” That same year they released their first Christmas project, “Our Gift to you” that gave us our first Christmas upbeat, foot-stomping, song entitled, “12 Days of Christmas” that is still requested and played during the holiday season. Three more projects were released with Worldwide Music, Inc., “Tribute to Quartet Legends, “ “Send a Revival,” and a greatest hits compilation project. The family of Christ sang with Johnson and the Spiritual Voices to “Send A Revival” and that there be “Peace in the Midst of the Storm.”

This “quartet prodigy” has sold over 500,000 units since the dawn of their career in 1997. Radio and Records reports their current and Stellar Award nominated single, “I Need A Blessing, peaked at #10 in late September, holding 20 weeks on the charts and ending for the year at #32.

Keith “Wonderboy” Johnson presents the Spiritual Voices & Friends, “Unity” release features guest appearances by close friends such as Alvin Green, Lanardo Butler, Robert Holland, Nicko Harden, and Spanky Williams and fosters the heartbeat of quartet music. They continue to carry on the legacy of great music that makes you feel good and gives God the glory.
