Born and raised in Alamogordo, New Mexico, Karen Lafferty is probably best known in the Christian world as the author of the scripture chorus "Seek Ye First." This song is found in most major hymnal books used in Christian churches worldwide today. Karen's public performance began during her teenage years and earned a Bachelor of Music Education at Eastern New Mexico University. Karen has recorded 7 albums and is active in performing and teaching around the world. Currently she is the director of Musicians for Missions International (A ministry of Youth With A Mission) in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA. What amazing creativity and uniqueness I have observed. Each people group offers tribute to God in their own unique way. It has been fun, moving, educational and enlightening to join with believers around the world in times of worship. The instruments they use range from dijereedoos, log drums and wooden flutes to accordions, violins, and bagpipes.
