You will find various genres on this debut projects. "Heaven's Well" features 6 original songs: "Thou Hast Lifted Us" is a praise song that fits nicely in the rock genre. "Rhyme and Reason" is a contemporary number asking folks where is the rhyme and reason in their life, and that true rhyme and reason can only be found in Jesus Christ. "Desperate Child" is a slow rock ballad about a girl who is contemplating suicide, the song implores her to give her life to Jesus and explains the change He will make in her life. The title track "Heaven's Well" is a song for anyone who has drifted away from Jesus Christ, it is God's heart toward that person. "He Shares It All" is a contemporary upbeat song about God's greatness and provision in our lives. The last original song is actually song sung by Julie's daughter Darla Nitsch (4 years old at the time), "We Believe" was written by Darla's grandpa years ago, it looks and the various things we believe about God and His word as Christians.

There are 5 cover songs on the CD. "Ain't No Grave" , "Potter's Hand", "Sing of Your Great Love", "Old Rugged Cross" and "Victory in Jesus w/I'll Fly Away"
