There are many things that are useless in this world, many individuals wanting to remain individuals, especially if they are not in need. Love and truth is hard to find and feel, harder when you’re lost and lonely. “leaving this room†is a song about having your worth, your life stripped from you, actually it’s my life I’m singing about. This song has two voices; the first is satan’s, the destroyer, the hater of life, the hater of creation and God’s children; the second is my voice after finding the truth, love and life in Christ. For a long time the enemy kept me locked in a room of low self esteem, self denial, self hate and pity. I had separated from myself; trying to hide from the pain and abuse I was enduring. Satan wants to lie, destroy and separate us from the truth and the love God has for us and our salvation in Jesus. Before I wrote this album I went through a horrific time, in this state of hopelessness and death I called out to God who rescued me and brought me to safety. Through healing prayer, Jesus showed me He is there through all I suffer and has healed the pain and confusion, loving me, bringing peace, truth and love, enabling me to unlock this door and leave this room, free and complete in Him. God wants us all to fulfil our purpose in Him, I don’t know what that is, but I do hope that this album brings you joy and peace, trusting in Christ. This album was written, recorded and produced in my studio in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. It features awesome drumming by Corey Harp who lives in St. Paul Minnesota. I recently had the privilege to tour with Corey across the North-east United States of America during Nov-Dec 2005, with Anthony Celia (bass) and Natalija Pollock (keyboards) who made up the Freedom in Christ Band. During this time we played in 10 States performing my music and sharing my testimony of salvation in Christ, it was an amazing, intense and unique experience. Taken from “whatzup, Nov, 10, 2005 â€" Fort Wayne, Indiana â€" Shawn Browning “Josephine Schmidt will be stopping by to perform at Come2Go Ministries on November 14. Josephine is an amazing, worshipful folk artist from Australia who I’d liken to Jewel or early Amy Grant. To some that may be a horrid comparison, but her demo truly is chock full of great tunes. This will be a great time to see Josephine Schmidt in an intimate setting before she blows up into an international mega-star.†Well I don’t know about the international mega-star but thanks Shawn it is a great booster.
