John often says, "My mother always told me to give God praise like it's my last time." Spirit led, talented and exciting, are just a few words that will come to mind after experiencing the annointed voices of "Worship". Headed by the multi-talented virtuoso, Minister John Murray, this young group of worshippers have taken the gospel music world by storm. John Murray is a producer, musician, vocalist and composer who has been playing and singing since the tender age of 8. His career started at a small church in his hometown of Freehold, New Jersey where he sang in the choir and learned to play various instruments. At a young age John began to take interest in playing many instruments. It seemed that he would quickly learn every instrument he placed in his heart to play. John feels that playing an instrument and singing to God is the best high in the world. "There is nothing like worshipping God". He later moved to Philadelphia, PA in 1988 where he performed with various gospel music ministries and also founded the sensational Philly group, CHRISTLIKE. John has performed in many prestigious arenas such as: The Academy of Music, Mann Music Center, Robin Hood Dell East, as well as various television shows overseas and around the country such as Sunoco's Welcome America, Good Day Philadelphia, and several Dr. Bobby Jones' Gospel Explosions. He has toured as part of the band with many gospel legends including Tramaine Hawkins, Pastor Hezekiah Walker and the Love Fellowship Choir and has played (in Studio sessions or live concerts) for other gospel greats such as Richard "Mr. Clean" White, John P. Kee, and the Gabriel Hardeman Delegation. John also served as musical director, musician, and vocalist for Pastor Bruce Parham. WORSHIP Eventually the Lord gave him the vision to begin a solo project and blessed him with a group of talented young saved Christians now known as "Worship". No more than four weeks later the choir was off to the studio to record their first critically acclamied project, "Heart of a Worshipper" featuring the mega hit single "IOU Praise"! This young choir's love for God is very evident in their music.
