"GMP" (The "George Marshall Project" ) "GMP" ( the "George Marshall Project") is a collaboration of Christian artists under the direction of George W. Marshall, and produced by PS150 Productions. GMP's unique jazzy/contemporary music consists primarily of original or rearranged material, written mainly by Brother Marshall. GMP's mission is to create and perform music that will comfort, uplift, encourage, and exhort fellow Christians, as well as reach out to those who do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. After founding and working with several other music ministries, God gave the vision of "GMP" to Brother Marshall. The music ministry of "GMP" is a growing, changing, "living" ministry, which continues to evolve. Brother Marshall's musical style combines lite jazz, funk, soul, and latin influences with a biblical Christian message to deliver a sound unique to GMP. Vision GMP is to be a music ministry that is formed as a collaboration of various Christian artists to produced a unique and professional sound that will impact the "un-Churched" community as well as the "Body of Christ". Mission GMP's mission is to create and perform music that will comfort, uplift, encourage, and exhort fellow Christians and reach out to those who do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Objectives GMP is to provide an opportunity for various Christian artist to use their gifts for the up-building of the body of Christ, and to be "witnesses" of Jesus Christ to the world. GMP will primarily perform music written and /or arranged by George W. Marshall. George W. Marshall (Bio) George W. Marshall was born and raised in Greenwood, SC. He is the son of Willie and Mamie J. Marshall, both of whom have gone on to be with the Lord. Brother Marshall relocated to Washington, DC to attend Howard University, and presently resides in Lanham, MD, just outside of Washington, DC. In 1990, Brother Marshall was joined in holy matrimony with Carletta J. Wayman. He has one son, George William Marshall, Sr. and one grandson, George William Marshall, Jr. Brother Marshall developed a love for music at an early age, and began playing bass guitar at the age of thirteen. He later started playing lead guitar, and keyboard and also began writing songs. In his twenties Brother Marshall, gave his life to Christ. At this point he began playing music and writing songs unto the Lord. Brother Marshall was involved in the music ministry at Faith Assembly of Christ Church in Washington, DC under the leadership of Bishop Alfonzo Way. He was then lead to join and become active in the music ministry at Abundant Life Faith Bible Church in Takoma Park, MD, under Pastor Shirley J. Nicholson. After this, Brother Marshall served as Minister of Music for eight years at Sword of the Spirit Ministries in Forestville, MD, pastored by Dr. Robert L. Bryan, Jr. Brother Marshall now belongs to New Song Bible Fellowship, in Bowie, MD under the leadership of Dr. Bernard T. Fuller, Senior Pastor, where he continues to be actively involved in the music ministry. God has blessed Brother Marshall in the area of song writing and music arrangements, which led Brother Marshall to establish PS150 Productions. Brother and Sister Marshall often minister together at various church services and outreach events. Brother Marshall is presently ministering with other Christian artist under the umbrella of "The George Marshall Project" (GMP). He has also founded a number of other Christian music ministries including the groups "Mature" (Greek for "Witness") and "Charis" (Greek for "Grace").
