Singer, songwriter, and mother of 1, Desiree Neal a.k.a. "Dezzie" was born on November 13, 1977 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Being the second child of two, Dezzie grew up in a family of singers and entertainers, and Dezzie was destined to be a star in her own rights. Learning how to sing the scales of the music chart by her mother and different members of her family, she was determined to posses the power of entertaining. Having the zeal to serve the Lord with her gift, she practiced daily with her mother as well as her church choir. Being reared in her church, New Covenant Presbyterian, now under the leadership of Pastor William Gaffney Jr., she has learned how to wait passionately and patiently on the Lord as He leads and guides her into all truth and direction concerning her ministry. Anticipating her call to the ministry, Dezzie has exploited her gift in such areas as, singing background and hooks for local artist in the Philadelphia area. She has recently been a back up singer on one of Philly`s up and coming singing stars, Tarra Scotton and Strong Tower. In her younger days, she performed with the Philadelphia School District Choir. In a time where young inspiring artists that have grown up in the church are leaving to go and experience the secular side of the industry, Dezzie has committed herself to doing work for the Lord. She longs to help young women who have gone through or are going through trials and tribulations in their relationships, to let them know that the greatest Love they could ever experience is with the Lord Jesus Christ. Having been in situations that the Lord has brought her out of, she is honored and eager to share her testimony in songs with those who are hurting. Inspired by the Holy Spirit and encouraged by her producers Eric Greene Sr., and Eric Jr., she has labeled her first CD, 'Here I Am`, indicating that if this is what God has called her for, she is ready to be used for His Glory. From the onset of being discovered by Eric Greene Sr., CEO/President of End Tyme Productions, LLC the both of them hit it off right away which gave that warm "ah ha" tingling sensation. Once Eric Jr., and Dezzie met, it became obvious that this was meant to be. As they began to vibe together, the music and the lyrics from the three of them flowed like rivers of living water. With the addition of another young producer by the name of Irvin Washington, the project became unstoppable. The four of them believed in God enough to put the finishing touch on 'Here I Am`. Signing with End Tyme Productions, LLC. ~ Dezzie and the Greene`s are looking to start a nation of gospel singers that will sing and teach about the Word of God, until everyone has heard about His Love and His Grace. Making a joyful noise is their goal and they seek to do His will. Dezzie has been compared to many, and some have even labeled her as the Jill Scott of the gospel. She has accepted such compliments graciously, but she prefers to just be herself. Perhaps the styles may be similar, but the message is truly different. With the soulful sound of Nancy Wilson and the rigor of Phyllis Hyman, she brings a versatile style unlike no other to the gospel audience. With the stage presence of Patti Labelle and commanding performance of Tina Turner, Dezzie is a sure fire ball for the work of the Lord.
