Quartet members Brad Ashburn (bass), Chip Barker(tenor), Debbie Ashburn (alto) and Lisa Pierce (soprano) formed the Circle of Friends Southern Gospel Quartet in the summer of 2002. Since then, they have traveled around Ohio and Pennsylvania singing in churches and at other special events. In the fall of 2003, the group was named the Grand Prize Winners of the Hancock County Talent Search in Findlay, Ohio. The group's unique, tight blend and sweet harmonies have endeared the quartet to many audiences. This CD, "The Call", contains some of the groups favorite Southern Gospel songs, some newer and some older. The Circle of Friends has a tradition of expanding the circle by having guest vocalists sing with them during their concerts. On this CD, the group is so pleased to have Pat Betteley join them for a five-part version of "Alpha & Omega". From the first song, "That's Why I Love To Call His Name", which is Brad's tribute to Rex Nelon to the last song "The Lord's Prayer" which was arranged for the quartet by Debbie and Lisa, this CD is full of toe-tappin' songs and beautiful melodies that will touch your spirit.
