A native of Jackson, Christopher Terell Taylor, is a formally trained musician, music and worship minister, pulpit minister and businessman who has various workshops, seminars, teaching and ministry experiences to his credit. Chris Taylor was trained in the Jackson Public Schools, and at Mississippi State University. While at MSU, Chris was president of The Black Voices of Mississippi State University from 1990-1992. He served as Minister of Music and Worship at Central Church of God (Jackson, MS) for nine years (1992-1999), Minister of Music for the Churches of God in Mississippi (Farmhaven district) for three years (1996-1999), and was the Minister of Worship at New Horizon Church (Jackson, MS) 1999 - 2004. Chris now resides in the country of Malawi in Southeastern Africa, where he serves as a missionary pastor and evangelist. He is the Executive pastor of Capital City Baptist Church and can be reached at www.ccbcministries.com. A recording artist and producer of worship music, Chris recorded and released "That I May Know Him" in 2001 as executive producer of the New Horizon Church Inspirational Choir. "My Life for Yours" is his first solo project, featuring duets with his wife, Connie. His latest release, "My Life for Yours - live praise and worship" was released in 2005. Chris travels nationally and internationally leading saints into Praise and Worship.
