Christal M. Sumpter is a native New Yorker. Christal is currently an Administrator at a voluntary health organization in New York City. She has had over 20 years of experience in administration, public relations and fundraising for several non-profit organizations. Christal is a member of St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church in Harlem. She has served as a cantor (leader of song) and a choir member at St. Charles. In addition to her singing at St. Charles Borromeo, Christal has served as cantor and soloist for various Masses at St. Patrick's Cathedral and other churches through the Archdiocese of New York. For several years, Christal performed the National Anthem for the United States Tennis Association at the U.S. Open in Queens, New York. She is also a member of the internationally known Voices of the Spirit Choir. Christal began studying piano and voice at the age of twelve. She has studied voice with very accomplished instructors over the years. In September 2003, Christal released her first CD entitled 'A Promise Kept', which is a dedication to her recently deceased Mother. Christal gives all praises to God for granting her the gift of song and allowing her to work towards making a difference in people's lives.
