Youth and young adults from five local area churches made up the group. Alan Bynoe (music minister) at SW Christian Fellowship took the baton and orchestrated this growing phenomenon in its early stages. The group has performed throughout the United States and Canada. The group has performed at various venues including President Carters (Carter Center), Atlanta Civic Center, Impact Conference, colleges, hotels, camps, showcases and conventions. Several mainstream solo artists have come out of the AYP camp. There focus is to encourage and uplift the saints of God and inspire those who are unchurched to commit themselves wholeheartedly to the Lordship of Christ.
