"Love Coming Down", a vibrant collection of contemporary praise songs, was produced to celebrate 50 years of ministry by St. Paul Lutheran Church, Mountain View, CA. The Praise Band presents almost an hour of music, ranging from the 16th Century "Praise to the Lord, the Almighty" (with a bass line then undreamed of) to Allen Clapp's SoCal classic pop hymn "Love Coming Down" , which is the cover song. Veronica Schneider's 1999 "Benediction" is recorded for the first time. Also, not to be missed are Sarah Bourne's haunting rendition of "Ancient of Days" accompanied by Don Bourne, and Brent Mausbach's rendition of "These Thousand Hills" accompanied by the Praise Band. Allen Clapp applies his considerable musical song writing and arranging talent, honed by his leadership of his critically acclaimed band, "The Orange Peels" to the praise songs heard on this disc.
