The three of us met in 2001 and began playing praise and worship music together at church in Parkersburg, WV. We began to write our own original songs and pursued their recording, producing our first CD, Canyon Wide , in 2005. We hope to make an impact through the music that we play by representing our faith in a positive, uplifting, and 'realistic' manner and to push current believers to a different place. They're usually simple in content, but we try to make them interesting with technique and effects. The biggest highlight in our musical journey occurred in the summer of 2005. We played at a benefit that was raising money for the medical expenses of two individuals. When we finished playing, Jeremy (one of the two) found his way to the stage, grabbed a microphone and, in tears, gave an awesome testimony. Though the young man was bound to a wheelchair by a motorcycle accident, he was able to give his praises to God. We felt this was such a terrific witness to those in attendance, as we were the only contemporary Christian band playing the event. The most encouraging spectacle we witnessed was at Teen Fest in spring 2005. In a world where we applaud and cheer adulterous basketball players and drug addicted football players, the youth at this festival cheered God. While we played, a hall full of youth were clapping, singing, and dancing to celebrate their faith. We came away truly encouraged that the young people of today will be just fine. Our first CD, 'Canyon Wide', represents a vision given to Wayne the drummer. "On one side of the canyon is a dark forest from which you have just been delivered and on the other side is a multitude of treasures." There is a wide gap between the two sides, but there is a way from one to the other. The artist who rendered the CD cover, Loretta, is an award-winning artist and we thought she did a terrific job representing the vision. The vision will carry on to CD # 2: 'The ????'. Most of the songs have already been written and are being rehearsed. One or two of the songs are already being performed live!
