Acoustic Guitar/Vocals: Victoria Vox

Victoria's acoustic album, Still, is a fully acoustic album which includes recordings from London, Lacanau, Nashville, and Green Bay. As a singer/songwriter, Victoria incorporates her own personal experiences with those of the people she observes. Her big passion is singing, but then of course, singing the songs that she writes. Victoria's smooth voice will keep you captivated and holding on to every word. This is definitely an album to play "en boucle" - her melodies will stay with you...

Currently, you can find Victoria playing her little heart out in towns across the United States and Europe. Check www.victoriavox.com for her latest tour schedule. Keep an eye out for her - she's a must see.

"As the band sets up to perform at Gunther Murphy's, "Wish You Were Here" by Incubus comes on through the stereo speakers in the room. As Victoria tunes her acoustic guitar, she takes notice of the song playing, and, within two chord changes, she jumps right into the song. In the low lighting, a smile appears on her face as she follows the song, as to show pride in her ear for music of all kinds.... A small moment like that says so much about the simple joy of music." - Chris Castaneda, Love, Chicago

Victoria Vox breathes music and knows it. She may not have had much of an audience as a 10-year old growing up in small-town, Wisconsin, but that didn't stop her from writing her first "dance hits" on a Casio keyboard in her bedroom. Even then, Vox was aware of song structure and chord progression -- 11 years before actually receiving a degree in songwriting from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston.

At just 17, Vox taught herself to play the guitar while acting the role of foreign exchange student in rural France. "I bought the cheapest one in the store," she chimes! A new instrument and inspirational surroundings turned her away from her keyboard top-40 musings, and encouraged a more therapeutic songwriting method.

In 1997, Vox chose to continue her higher education at Berklee; a degree in songwriting was right up her alley! Her hard work paid off upon graduation when she was awarded a Berklee Achievement Scholarship and the Vince Gill Songwriting Award. After a brief post-college stint in Nashville, the songwriting capital of the world, Vox sold everything she owned to write and record in London. 2002 saw the release of her debut acoustic album, Still, which was mostly written and recorded in London, including a track done at the famous Air Studios. Since then, Vox has been touring across the US and London sharing her songs and her infectious smile. She became a full-time touring artist in May 2003 and performs more than 120 shows a year. She's opened for national touring acts Ida, The Figgs, and Neko Case and Jackson Browne. Vox has also self-released 4 full-length albums, 1 EP and has appeared on 4 compilations. She's a DIY queen and the sky is the limit.
