The Standard Deviations are an all-women, queer-affirming band who hail from Adelaide Australia. We are passionate about singing highly original, distinctive, musically lush songs which celebrate the diversity of race, gender and sexuality. Lyrically you can expect surprises, twists and the sort of depth, inspiration and intrigue that has you coming back for more!! "Did she really just sing that?" is a common response. Musically, on our latest self-titled CD, you are just as likely to be treated to a flugelhorn solo, sensuous and funky acoustic bass or rich 4-part harmonies as to our South Australian Music Industry Award winning keyboard playing.
