WHAT PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SAYING ABOUT ANTJE DUVEKOT:

"when i first heard Antje I knew i was witnessing something very special. She creates an entire, detailed world in verse, and takes you there with beautiful and understated melody. Her songs are stunning paintings of color and shade and always generate the heat and light that real art should. In an unpoetic and 'in your face' world, she is lyrical and subtle".

NEIL DORFSMAN - producer Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Dire Straits

"Antje's songs have a grace and sweep rarely witnessed in the modern-day canon. Her ability to render a tune harkens back to an earlier generation of songwriters such as joni Mitchell, Paul Simon, and the like, whose music was not just for then or now but for always. This music deserves attention"

PETER LUBIN - A&R representative signed Peter Gabriel, Michelle Shocked

From Billboard Magazine:

"The Edge of Silence will be remembered as the album where SOLAS began to push the envelope... ...Nothing on the album, however, surpasses the profound effect of the Antje Duvekot song "Black Annis". An unforgettable tale of sexual abuse, "Black Annis" is based on a figure from Scottish folklore, beuatifully sung by Deirdre Scanlan...it's the high point of a powerful record".

From Irish Echo:

"no other song on 'The Edge of Silence' matches the intesnsity of 'The Poisonjester's mask' Duvekot's probing, piercing exploration of the consequences of social inertia and isolation".
