Adriane Allyn returned home to Arkansas from a three year stay in Nashville, TN in the Summer of 2005. She graduated High School from Wynne, Arkansas, and went to Belmont University. She took time off of school to play and tour with a southern rock band, The Kindred. After an extensive three years of writing songs, playing shows, working, networking and going to school in Nashville, Adriane decided to come home to play where she feels her roots in music truly began to grow. So, she started school at UCA this past Fall and graduated in May 2006. While living in Conway and playing shows in Little Rock, Adriane met UCA alumni Justin Mizell and Tim Secor who are the owners of Green Couch Records, an independent label based out of central Arkansas. She signed a contract with them and recorded a 12 track album called “Moving On†at Solus Studios. Matt Kennet, from The Frail Division, produced the album and also provided bass for most of the tracks. “I started writing music and playing guitar when I was 11 years old. It’s been a part of my life ever since. My style of writing has evolved into a mixture of acoustic blues, jazz, rock, and spoken word poetry. From soulful ballads to funky pop songs, I wanted “Moving On†to have a little taste of everything,†says Allyn. Adriane’s band brings the vibe of blues, jazz, pop, rock, and funk. The label hired Adriane’s friends from Nashville Lyndsay Pruett, David Bishop, and Matt Stone, to add percussion, mandolin, violin, and electric guitar to Adriane’s original material. “Adriane is a ready-made artist. We knew that she could play, write, and sing in a style that was different from the mainstream.
