Scouring the Los Angeles and New York underground has been their M.O. for over five years, not an inch left neglected by the diligent passions of this vallenato quintet, Very Be Careful. Rocked a thousand parties, flipped the script on 100s of skeptic club personas, enticed a police backup at a rally or two, and raised an overall ruckus across the continent with the Caribbean flavor that they've been keeping real for this long. But good times are not always safe - which seems to be their only excuse.

Playing up to four shows per week, why should they take a breath when inducing a Colombian dance freakout from unsuspecting masses is so much more fun. Apolitical? Apathetic? Hardly. Since when are fertility, communion, and inflaming the populace empty sentiments or impractical social functions? The VBC are a damn social institution and if you don't know them by now, get wise.

From the "legit": S.O.B.s, Copacabana, House of Blues, El Rey, Colombian festivals in Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami and New York, with international and local stars like Alfredo Gutierrez, Antibalas, Grupo Niche, Carlos Vives, Joe Strummer, and Fruko y sus Tesos to cultural meccas: Luna Sol Café, La Peña, Sunset Junction to Dionysian dens of self-realization, Very Be Careful hauls their instant dance party down into the Koreatown underworld or up onto Greenpoint rooftops to mingle with fireworks and shoot their rhythms across the East River or deep into Echo Lake, no one left sitting. From their Pinto Records seven inch vinyl "El Niño" produced by Money Mark, to DeVolada Records EP "Cheap Chillin", to their self released full length CD "The Rose", and now on the way - "El Grizz" - 19 songs of pure parranda...
