TRIBORO is:
Phyllis Elkind (Manhattan)
Phyllis' early influences were the Weavers and Pete Seeger, and the weekly 'hootenanny' at her high school. She has worked as a music teacher for children and taught members of pre-teen rock bands. Phyllis was lead singer in the country Western dance band, "Midnight Rodeo", and brings a lot of great country material to Triboro. She is the founder of the ever popular, "Freddie and the Drumsticks"; a women's rock band. She plays guitar in Triboro and her first and remaining love is singing harmony.

Don Friedman (Brooklyn)
Don has been playing guitar and singing for many (many) years. Although some of his earliest playing was with a high school rock band, "The Soul Searchers", he was particularly influenced by the folk music revival of the 60s. Don has recently been exploring old-time and other more traditional music, as well as songs from other countries. He has a great ear for harmony, plays rhythm and lead guitar, and has recently taken up the mandolin. By day, he is an anti-poverty lawyer, and, as his union's semi-official troubadour, has played on picket lines and at union rallies.

Evy Mayer (The Bronx)
Evy is a former social worker who started playing guitar at age 13. As a child she didn't know she was singing harmony, until someone told her that's what she was doing. During high school Evy was in the All City High School Chorus and continued to sing and play folk songs. Twelve years ago, after a trip to Hawaii, she started to play ukulele. In addition, she plays dumbek and other percussion instruments. Evy also performs on and produces albums, the latest of which, "Humor Me!" presents 17 humorous songs. She is enjoying Triboro's musical exploration of Carter family material.
