Tony Villalba's 4th orginal CD is out and it's all acoustic. Tony plays : Steel String acoustic/electric guitars, nylon string guitar and the Strumstick which is a fairly new instrument that has a banjo/dulcimer type sound. It is made and produced by the McNally Instrument Company. A gift from Tony's wife a few years ago. He has taken a liking to this instrument from the beginning he saw it and wanted to always incorporate this instrument's sound to future works. Tony's Wife Rochelle also sings lead on For You Daddy which is a song that was originally written in 1999 for the father and daughter dance at their wedding. Due to some people suggesting that they would like to see and hear this on one of Tony's future compilations. Well, He listened and decided why not. Rochelle also helped produce For You Daddy and wrote the lyrics for this song and "love Me" - a power acoustic rock song. Tony wanted to dedicate a CD to his wife by having songs that talk about (or in this case sing about) his wife and some of the various life experiences that they had together. Whether it's a song with lyrics or his instrumentals, he wants to get the message through. With his gift of music, he wants to share those experiences with some past fans of his music and hope to gain new fans to experience his writing and sound. He is currently in the works for another all acoustic CD, but a release date is still up in the air. This Cd may have only six songs, but it is over 30 minutes of music. You'll get your money's worth. Tony teaches guitar part time at the Donohue Studio of Music in Cromwell. He has been doing this since the late nineties. He performed some solo acoustic guitar works for the studio booth at the 2001 Cromwell River Fest. He has also been performing solo acoustically playing his originals and covers. This year Tony has been a guest a couple of times on the web radio station: The Naked Jazz Show with Host John Resler. Even though Tony is not 100% influenced by Jazz, John liked Tony's Style/sound of his music and thought it deserves to go on the air. The Naked Jazz show reaches audiences world wide and listeners can call in to make a request or talk to the live performing artists.
