Oceans Apart is a Celtic Duo who formed in 2003. Their approach to Celtic music is unique in that they present a cross section of many celtic nations concentrating on Ireland, Soctland & Wales. While most of the music is robust male vocals the listener will get a healthy dose of instrumental tracks and tunes included with vocal songs and medleys. On one track you might hear acapella vocals then on the next you might hear a high powered reel set. Oceans Apart may even throw in a Welsh bagpipe tune accompanied by clawhammer banjo. Then how about a classic Stan Rogers song? The emphasis is on uniqueness of each track.

The name Oceans Apart conveys the origins of the band members - John Good from Wales & Steve Colby from the USA. They are both veteran musicians having played with other bands in the past but they have found a common bond in their music and friendship. They are happy in what they do.

Flutes, Bagpipes, Whistles, Harmonica, Banjo, Guitar & Irish Bouzouki plus vocals in any combination awaits your auditory sensors. No rules - just fun! Enjoy!
