SONIC SEASON Founded in January 2001 May 2001:Finals of a European newcomer-contest January 2002:Debut-album "INDIAN SUMMER"; local charts December 2003:long player IDAHO; breakthrough in Luxemburg: „Showtime", „Idaho" und „Like it" 6 months in the charts of Luxemburg, at Radio DNR No 1. It contains 11 originals and an emotional interpretation of "History of us"/Indigo Girls. Many lyrics and melodies of the album IDAHO were inspired by marking experiences and impressions during several stays of the lead singer and song writer Sonja Hewer in Idaho/USA. Her folk songs, written on acoustic guitar, develop the typical sound of SONIC SEASON by being arranged by her and the 4 other musicians. Many different music influences of the band members find their expression in the arrangements. At the beginning of 50 minutes "IDAHO", you'll hear a rock-pop sound. An opening intro full of tension and an expressive verse lead to the chorus of "Showtime", which makes you sing along. This kind of fast songs (Showtime, Like it, I am free, Point of view, I'm alright, Doubts) exchange with strong ballads (Thin Line, Variety Show, All with you, History of us) and the latin tune Weirdo. Remarkable are the strong and individual voice of the lead singer and great vocal harmonies. he melodic and dynamic compositions make you listen to the CD all over again without getting bored.
