NYC alt-folk s/s with stylistic similarities to Lou Reed, Nick Cave, Bob Mould and Frank Black. Recorded with Mike Caiati (They Might Be Giants, The Ramones) "Swell" is a collection of raw, edgy lo-fi acoustic songs. Performs mostly solo with an ability to impact more with less. Deep, gritty projection vocals and power-chord percussive playing style. Brooding and angst-driven. Maintains a diverse audience from headbangers, skate punks to indie rockers, mainstreamers and the famous: Bono quipped on one song, "'Horse Named Juliet' I think I knew her." Has performed at NXNE in Toronto and several clubs, colleges and indie radio stations throughout the US. Also: performed and recorded with members of Big Head Todd and the Monsters; currently receiving airplay on US college and European radio.
