Jimmy Lee Hannaford is an Austin-based singer/songwriter whose roots stretch back to his native Mississippi, where he soaked up the sounds of Delta bluesmen as well as rhythm and blues, rock and roll, rockabilly, folk, country and soul.

It was listening to artists such as Bob Dylan, John Prine, Paul Simon and Steve Forbert that first inspired him to write his own lyric-driven songs that touch on both personal and universal themes.

A smooth, melodic vocalist and powerful performer on both guitar and harmonica, Jimmy Lee joined the busy Austin music scene in 1997 after a year in Santa Fe, N.M. Prior to that, he lived in Ocean Springs and Biloxi on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, performing with several blues-oriented bands, including an inspirational stint with blues artist Libby Rae Watson.

Jimmy Lee performs regularly in and around Austin, Texas.
