Candlepower is a handful of musicians picked from the independent music scenes in Atlanta, Athens, Nashville and Houston to record songs by singer/songwriter Scott Kauffmann. Candlepower is powered by Vigilantes of Love alum Kenny Hutson on acoustic and electric guitars, dobro, lap steel, pedal steel, and mandolin. Matt Goldman, of the celebrated alt-Christian power pop band Smalltown Poets and Atlanta modern rock band Nice, drives the train on drums and co-production.
