Jim Murray is fast becoming an icon amongst Texas songwriters.

The combination of his stunning lyrical ability and his band's arrangements are elevating his music to a world class level. Self taught on guitar, at an early age Jim exibited all the traits of a natural performer. His quiet demeanor was left behind when he stepped on stage.

Today his on-stage persona helps create the drive and draw for his band's live performances. Never satisfied covering another man's creativity, he found song writing to be a powerful channel for his thoughts and feelings. He has always been an audience of people and human nature. His songs underscore those things we deal with in our daily lives. His turn of phrase drives his powerful lyrics straight to the heart of the listener.

Where so many performers are striving for the spotlight, Jim is a reluctant star who draws his satisfaction from the response of his fans. Since January of 2004, their official web site has experienced in excess of 1,000 hits per month. The Society membership has increased exponentially during that time. Radio stations in Europe and the US are giving airplay to their debut album, Low Life. With the release of their second album, Short of the Blues, scheduled for December 1, 2005, the Society is fast becoming one of the hottest bands around. .
