Allette Brooks has a three octave range and an equally expansive sense of humor.

The Bay Area based singer songwriter has been touring hard to promote her two independently released albums Silicon Valley Rebel (1999) and Privilege (1996), and is currently working on a third release.

Allette's brand of lyric-packed, rhythmic folk, highlights her quirky humor, powerful guitar-playing, and dynamically expressive voice.

In 2000 Allette played 150 shows in 25 states, appeared at the National Women's Music Festival and was a finalist in the Tucson and Lake County Songwriting competitions.

Allette's interactive, humorous performance style and strong stage presence have been winning her audiences all over the country.

"Allette Brooks may have a disarmingly relaxed and humorous relationship with the audience at her gigs, but there's nothing laid back about her high energy performance and powerful songs."
-Bob McWilliams, West Side Folk and KANU, Lawrence, KS

"She colors the picture with every crayon in the box. Her songs are youthful in sound, and ancient in sentiment. She's carving out a space in acoustic folk, that should last her a good while."
-Victory Review, Tacoma, WA

"Her acoustic folk music showcases both her loose, natural guitar playing and her impressive vocal range. She'll run up and down Ani DiFranco-style during the course of a song, but she can hang on to those high notes in a stirring way that most of her contemporaries can't come near"
- Rob Thomas, Capital Times, Madison, WI
