Ernie Van Veen has been recording and performing since he was 10. In the late '60s he toured Canada and the USA with his father's folk band, The Generation Bridge. After moving to Australia he recorded with and/or performed on the same stage as a number of Aussie legends, including Dutch Tilders, Kevin Borich, Stevie Wright (The Easybeats), Matt Taylor (Chain), Man Bites Dog, The Blues Cowgirls and others. Van Veen's solo CD, "One Tiny Life" was released in 2004, and his new CD with The Van Veen Band, "Drive", will be released later in 2005. Van Veen has won a number of awards for writing and songwriting and was a judge in both the 2003 Australian Blues Music Awards and the 2005 Australian National Songwriting Competition.
