Born in London's East End, Mich started playing the piano at ten years old, and her musical journey has taken her, via classical training, synagogue choirs and the 'filk' music community, to writing original songs ranging from the fantastical to the deeply personal. In the filk scene, Mich has appeared as guest at UK and US conventions, won two UK song awards, and was shortlisted for the Best Performer award which honours songwriters and performers from the US, Canada, Germany and UK. Her first studio album, Just Beyond, shows the depth of her talent, her warm vocals and vivid harmonies supported by passionate, spirited piano. The album also features performances by the feisty all-woman band where neither medieval chant nor bunny ears are out of place 'Divine Strumpet' (Talis Kimberley, Rachel Georgeson, Mich Sampson, Marilisa Valtazanou).
